Clark Jackson Scholarship

Clark Jackson Scholarship

Clark Jackson, Phi Delta Theta Kansas Delta #346, spent his life dedicated to Phi Delta Theta, and its cardinal principles of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Rectitude. In the late 80's, Clark Jackson led a capital campaign to raise funds to build the chapter house that Phi Delta Theta currently resides in at 4000 E 21st St N which opened in 1992. During Jackson's time as a chapter advisor, the chapter began a charity golf tournament which raised $500,000 in a ten year period for ALS charities. After spending decades working to leave ALS better than he found it, Jackson ironically passed away from ALS in 2011, saying he loved the fraternity so much,  he died from the fraternity disease.

The Wichita Phi's Educational Foundation distubutes over $15,000 in scholarships to the active members of Wichita State University's Phi Delta Theta chapter annually, including the Clark Jackson Scholarship. In 2023, the Wichita Phi's Educational Foundation chose to make this scholarship open to more than just the members of Phi Delta Theta at Wichita State University. This scholarship will be open to all incoming male freshmen who exemplify the Cardinal Principles of Phi Delta Theta: Friendship, Sound Learning, and Rectitude. $1,000 will be awarded to 1 applicant selected out of finalists who have undergone an interview.
